When we first saw this stunning home on Remodelista we immediately thought it must be located in Scandinavia. It has a classic Swedish tiled fireplace (kakelugn in Swedish) and the home is full of Scandinavian design pieces. The house is actually located in Ontario, Canada and belongs to John and Juli Baker, founders of interior concept store Mjölk selling Scandinavian and Japanese pieces.
The couple had the 200 year old kakelugn sent from Sweden and reassembled in their home tile by tile, you can read more about it here in the Mjölks journal.
Among the beautiful furniture we can spot a Arne Jackobsen sofa, a classic Märta Måås-Fjetterström rug, Hans Wegner chairs and a few pieces from Svenskt Tenn and Josef Frank. We also have to mention the stunning antique solid marble bath tub from an old spa in Portugal, that must have come with a hefty shipping fee!
