Blue Ivy

I love ivy and have it in quite a few places around my house, it is a really sturdy plant and as it grows so fast you don't feel too bad cutting a steam off to pop in a vase. I found this tiny little blue vase in Spitalfields market a few years ago, it is actually a component from an old oil lamp and I absolutely love the colour.

The stainless steel matchebox is from Svenskt Tenn, which by the way also stock some really beautiful small vases perfect for ivy here

To Market, To Market

Pictures by Amy HallamLast Thursday we visited the Spitalfields vintage market again. It is one of our favourite London markets and always packed with great finds. The vintage market is on every Thursday so if you are ever in the area stop by and take a look! here

The Locker Room

Vintage gym lockers are a great way of achieving that industrial look, they have been popular for a while now and from these images it is easy to see why.
We have seen a lot of this across vintage markets in London, sadly they are often quite pricey. If you don't want to spend a whole bunch of cash, a cheaper way to get the look is by buying smaller "locker room " inspired items such as these wire shelves and vintage hooks.

Bargain Hunting

Charity shops are great places for finding some unique and quirky home wear. It can take a bit of hunting and lots of imagination, but I have managed to find some beautiful pieces, from candle sticks to kitchen ceramics. The images above were taken from various charity shops in Hackney, all full of lovely vintage trinkets and furniture. Get hunting.
